long, delicate stem, carved with depictions of earthly and celestial elements; remnants of red pigment; half of stem expertly wrapped with dyed horse hair and secured to stem with sinew string; three blocks of plaited quillwork are inserted in the hair wrapping; T-shaped steatite bowl
